Wadumbah have achieved the status of being one of the premier Indigenous dance groups in Australia. Performing for over 12 years not only throughout Western Australia, but also around the world. Wadumbah's professionalism and reputation has also taken them to places like Germany, Italy, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mauritius, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur and China.
Wadumbah enjoyed a successful two week tour of Mauritius in March and again in August 2008 which included the wonderful Seychelles.
The Australian Food, Wine and Culture Event in China was a huge five weeks of performances for Wadumbah! From October to December 2008 Wadumbah performed shows in Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin.
Wadumbah regularly perform at the annual Fairbridge Festival and at the Perth Royal Show in Western Australia.
At home, in Western Australia, Wadumbah were featured performers at Southbound 2009 in Busselton and scored the prestigious frontline act for Richard Clapton and his band at McCallum Park foreshore in Victoria Park.
Wadumbah are self supporting and live and work in the ‘Whadjuck' region in Perth, Western Australia. Wadumbah perform fully choreographed Noongar dances mainly from the South West of Western Australia. Wadumbah's dance group performs at schools, festivals, national and international conferences, conventions and 'Welcome to Country' presentations for large and small corporate events.
Wadumbah's purpose is to keep the spirit of Aboriginal culture alive, to enhance the pride of Aboriginal people, to educate people from all walks of life and to bridge the gap between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
